Tasting Notes:

This premium barrel reserve wine is produced from low yielding vineyards of  South Australia’s Wrattonbully region, incorporating our best parcels of fruit.  The wine displays a rich and inky body with a vibrant cherry hue.  Ripe red berry fruits with dried herbs and eucalyptus on the nose with a long complex palate of concentrated fruit.  14 months in French barrels gives this wine a wonderfully toasty flavour.  This wine is unfiltered to retain its true characters.

"55/45% cabernet sauvignon/shiraz. Still super youthful and fresh as a four year old, this classic Aussie blend is alive and kicking points with its ripe black and red fruits and lively spiciness. Wrattonbully brings an energy to its red wines and like its neighbour, Coonawarra, it is built on an engaging earthiness and firm tannin presence. Cassis, cherry fruits and blueberries, leafy, earthy elements, bay leaf, spearmint, vanillin oak and anise spice framed in fine, firm tannins. Good balance and a bright finish."
